You have reached
the Hill Homepage.
Click anything that looks vaguely clickable! Thanks. Give me a
chance, though, to update some of my links. This is the home of "Sassie
Rae-Joplin, the number one Blues Dog in Oklahoma and Texas and the
world. Pictured is Sassie winning the TOP DOG Singing Award at the
Denton, Texas 2007 Dog Days Celebration. Sassie sang "The
Star Spangled Banner," with her accompaniest on a Swann Chromatic, an
excellent Chinese made harmonica. I have just installed KompoZer, which
allows me to update my homepage for the first time, seriously, in 3 or
4 years.
-----
We
live in an un-incorporated,
small
town, in Indian Country, Oklahoma. YES!! This is the North
American Indian Capital of the
entire, whole world. We have the following tribal headquarters within
a 15 minute drive of here and all have wonderful museums and
information: Fort Sill Apache, Apache, Wichita, Caddo, Comanche, and
Kiowa. There are many, many more in the state of Oklahoma. Many
American Indian Tribes were punished because a few of them were
persuaded into joining the South, mainly by "firewater," in the
American Civil War. Some Indians even owned slaves.
----During
the early 1800s to 1880s,
most of the Indian tribes were forced to move to Oklahoma, which wasn't
a state at that time. The Civil War brought more tribes, ...
many, many
of the Plains tribes were forced to move to Oklahoma, after the Civil
War. The IMPORTANT thing to know, though, is that
the United States Government deals with each tribe as a separate
NATION, just as they do with Japan, Russia, North Korea or, heaven
forbid, Great Britain. Don't get these mixed up with the 5 Civilized
tribes, which were forced to move here as well, but they came from
the Eastern part of the U.S.: Chickasaw, Cherokee, Choctaw, Creek and
Seminole. The Seminoles were from Florida, thus, ... the college
football name down there, ... the Seminoles. NOW THEY CLAIM THEM. Yeh,
right! If you will come back to this page once in a while, you will
see American Indian pictures, especially of our beautiful Indian
Princess granddaughter named IRIS, who will, of course, always have
her own page on the NET.
----- Nathan
and Eunice were married three times, this last year. They were married
in a Christian ceremony, first, in Korea and then was married in a
traditional wedding. Both were awesome. It is hard to believe it has
been that long. We flew 14 hours there and 14 back. Horrible
on
arthitic backs. (Me!) Marcella saved a life on the way back -
well, the family from India thought she did. Their dad
fainted.!
It was no surprise because the plane air-system lacked. Here is a
picture of us in a Korean restaurant in Apache. She was surprised to
see a Korean restaurant in a small town in the middle of Oklahoma. We
appeared to be thugs and to be dangerous, but Eunice had us
under
control. Check
out the picture
and meet
Eunice.
-----Big
news this year is that Nathan and Eunice are expecting a baby during
the same month they will graduate from seminary. We are planning to go
to Washington D.C. to see them graduate. Who knows, Marcella could have
to stay for the new baby.
----The
big news here, also, in October was that Holli and Vin were married.
Vin's parents are from Vietnam, but Vin was born and raised
in
Oklahoma. There were about 150-200 people there, and they had brought
lots of food. Unfortunately, I ate an IHop breakfast and was
way
too full to eat very much of everything that was brought.
----Vin
had all of his family members there and so was G&G Oriental
Restaurant there as well. Eunice and Nathan had their dinner
at
G&G's and it was wonderful. Holli and Vin's dinner
was at the
church, so the restaurant brought food, too. I enjoyed
meeting
Vin's mother and father and sit by his dad.
----- You
will see, too, that we are
a family which is interested in music. Marching bands, harmonicas,
guitars, ... organs, and even tamborines can be found around our
house. I am The Caddo County Harpman (CCHARPMAN) or the Oklahoma
Harpman (okharpman). Besides playing
Country Music, Gospel and Blues, our number one radio station is the
muscle station,
KKNG, (93.3)
and my favorite programs on KKNG is
the Sunday Morning Gospel Music Show by the SHANK and the week day
James "Litl Legend" Ayres! We go to bed with
Country and Gospel, and I wake up with ... Country Music. Retired, I
can sleep late. Our
kids have left their home, but no matter what they do, they take a
musical tradition with them including playing band instruments,
professional
piano, guitar, bass guitar, but, ... none of them play the harp, like
Papa Dale.
----- This
is a another great year for OU
football
and basketball for the men, but should be an another incredible year
for
Oklahoma
University Sooner ladies, with the Paris twins. We met Brandon Calebat
the OKC airport. He will be a star, tight end. You can find
his
picture here. Right now, other than what we have, there is little on
Brandon, so I will keep you up. At home, last year
Anadarko's boys' and girls' basketball teams won conference with the
ladies
winning area. Troph pictures are on here. We are working on a
DVD
of this years' basketball team. Email me below about the DVD.
Who
says, Bro. Cec, there are no advantages to living
in Podunck, Oklahoma. Wait a minute, ... for sure, this year, I will
be the first to catch a walleye. Live with it. This year, OU has an
outstanding and AWESOME Women's team, with the Paris Twins and Jenna
Pumbly, an American Indian from Red Rock and from Frontier Public
Schools, from the neck of woods where we were raised.
2006!! US IN ALMOST-PARADISE! Except
arthrit"us!"
Holli and Vihn opening presents
at their reception!
ATTRACTIONS ON THIS
HOMEPAGE!! We
even have one "bona fide" "googlezapp" page here. What is a
googlezapp page? It is when you plug one or more words in google and
run a search. If you come up with only ONE website or hit, then you
have a "googlezapp!"
